Industrial fan system

In drying ovens, the fan system (whether it’s extracting hot air or circulating it) operates under elevated temperatures, so heat-resistant bearings are critical for reliability and safety. Here’s a clear breakdown of what’s typically used and how to choose them:

Common bearings have the following characteristics

  • High-Temperature Grease-Lubricated Bearings
  • Standard rolling bearings (ball or roller) with special high-temp grease
  • Typical limit: 80°C – 120°C (With bearing clearance C3)
  • Grease Lithium complex (lower range)
  • Used in: Moderate-temperature drying ovens
  • Limitation: Grease degrades over time needs relubrication

Various cooling solutions are available, such as circulating water massage cooling and shaft-mounted fan cooling, designed for long-term operation. However, these solutions have drawbacks: they are very time-consuming and costly to maintain, requiring frequent oil and grease replenishment, and replacement costs. They are also susceptible to wear and tear from malfunctions during operation. Product description: Exhaust fan or hot air supply with heat-resistant bearings. To overcome shortcomings in equipment management and operation, our engineers have researched and developed a product line capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300°C. The characteristics of this ring-shaped product line are:

  • High-speed friction resistance.
  • Easy installation and operation.
  • Withstands harsh working environments: 250°C ~ 300°C.
  • Hardness and durability ensure suitability for various temperature ranges with PTFE-based grease lubrication.
  • Products are applied according to drawings or customer requirements to match the equipment.

GMW brand heat-resistant bearings have been practically applied to hot air exhaust fans in electrostatic powder coating ovens and have yielded excellent results. With the hot air exhaust fan operating for an average of 16 hours/day, maintenance is required within 16 months before the equipment is put into operation.
