High-temperature bearings of 350°C (HT1) are special industrial bearings designed by GMW to operate in extremely high-temperature environments up to approximately 350°C. At this temperature, the base oil evaporates, leading to the failure of conventional bearings due to lack of lubrication. HT1 is a useful alternative, as it can operate smoothly thanks to its special lubrication solution.
The suffix HT1 high-temp deep groove ball bearings offer the following advantages:
- Temperature capability: up to 350°C maximum
- Low-speed operation: designed mainly for slow-rotation applications
- Material: Made from chromium steel material
- C5 clearance design compensates for temperature-induced distortion
- Surface coating: Manganese phosphate coating (according to EN ISO 9717) for corrosion protection and wear resistance
- Lubrication: Special MoS₂ (molybdenum disulfide) high-temperature grease forming a dry lubricating film when oil evaporates
Available Configurations HT1 bearings usually come in two versions:
- Open type (no shield)
- ZZ type – two heat-resistant steel shields.
Typical Industrial Applications:
The Suffix HT1 bearings are widely used in high-temperature industrial processes, such as
- Brick kiln carts
- Ceramic furnaces
- Glass manufacturing lines
- Steel rolling conveyors
- Die-casting machine and aluminum furnace
- Etc...
