High-temperature bearings rated at 300°C (HT3) are special industrial bearings designed by GMW to operate in extremely high-temperature environments, up to approximately 300°C.
At higher temperatures, where HT2 (280°C) is unsuitable, HT3 is the preferred choice. In other HT3 is an upgraded version of HT2, still operating with high temperature grease lubrication. However, this special Teflon grease has been specifically formulated for the 300°C temperature range, allowing it to operate smoothly and reliably thanks to its unique lubricating fluid.
The suffix HT3 high-temp deep groove ball bearings offer the following advantages:
- Temperature capability: up to 300°C maximum
- Low-speed operation: designed mainly for slow-rotation applications
- Material: Made from chromium steel material
- C5 clearance design compensates for temperature-induced distortion
- Surface coating: Manganese phosphate coating (according to EN ISO 9717) for corrosion protection and wear resistance
- Lubrication: Special polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) heat-resistant grease for smooth movement
Available Configurations HT3 bearings usually come in two versions:
- Open type (no shield)
- ZZ type – two heat-resistant steel shields.
Typical Industrial Applications:
The Suffix HT3 bearings are widely used in high-temperature industrial processes, such as
- Brick kiln carts
- Ceramic furnaces
- Glass manufacturing lines
- Steel rolling conveyors
- Die-casting machine and aluminum furnace
- Etc…
