High-temperature bearings rated at 280°C (HT2) are special industrial bearings designed by GMW to operate in extremely high-temperature environments, up to approximately 280°C.
At this temperature, HT2 operates with a perfect lubrication solution thanks to the addition of a special Teflon grease, allowing it to operate smoothly and reliably due to its unique lubricating fluid.
The suffix HT2 high-temp deep groove ball bearings offer the following advantages:
- Temperature capability: up to 280°C maximum
- Low-speed operation: designed mainly for slow-rotation applications
- Material: Made from chromium steel material
- C5 clearance design compensates for temperature-induced distortion
- Surface coating: Manganese phosphate coating (according to EN ISO 9717) for corrosion protection and wear resistance
- Lubrication: Special polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) heat-resistant grease for smooth movement
Available Configurations HT2 bearings usually come in two versions:
- Open type (no shield)
- ZZ type – two heat-resistant steel shields.
Typical Industrial Applications:
The Suffix HT2 bearings are widely used in high-temperature industrial processes, such as
- Brick kiln carts
- Ceramic furnaces
- Glass manufacturing lines
- Steel rolling conveyors
- Die-casting machine and aluminum furnace
- Etc…
